Q : Can we customise letters on the back of the pieces?

A : Yes, at no extra charge, keep in mind there is a hallmark on the back that cannot be removed, so you won’t be able to fit as many letters on the back as you can on the front.

Q : Can we buy pendants without the chain?

A : Ordinarily, we only sell pendants with chains. However, in the case of Gold – pendants are always sold separately. Existing customers can purchase add-on pendants to compliment their existing purchases and individual pendants and coins can also be added at the time of sale.

Q : Can we add or remove items from the bracelets?

A : Yes you can add or remove items, including trees, coins, tassels etc.

Q : How are bracelet sizes measured?

A : Because the total length of our bracelets vary with the different clasps used, we measure our bracelets from one end to the part where the chain connects to the clasp. The standard size for a women's bracelet is 19cm and will fit most wrist sizes, but if you need something larger or smaller, we can usually accommodate you or make to measure.

Q : How do I know what size bracelet I should order?

A : The best way to work this out, for most people, is to measure the size of your wrist and add 1cm: that’s the size of the chain you need. To measure your wrist, get a piece of ribbon or string, wrap it around your wrist and cut it where it first touches, then measure the cut piece and add 1 cm and voila!.. place your order with confidence.

Q : How should I care for or clean my Jewellery?

A : Silver and Gold are both precious metals and will tend to tarnish over time – especially the more they are loved and touched. In some people the oil from their skin will react to the metal in different ways, so it is important to clean and maintain your piece in order to have it always looking it’s best. We highly recommend Connoisseurs Jewellery wipes. They retail for around $24.98 and are available for purchase in many good jewellery stores. Each pack contains 25 wipes, enough to polish a single piece every month for two years. Try them; you will be amazed at how good they are at removing tarnish. We don’t sell them online as a single item because by the time the postage is taken into account, it is too expensive for you.

Q : I bought a pendant from you some time ago and I got it out to wear and it is discoloured, why did it happen and what can I do about it?

A : Silver and Gold are precious metals and will react differently to different conditions, such as oil from your skin or even the quality of the air – or just exposure to the air. All precious metals will tarnish over time. We can’t warranty against that. What we do however, is recommend that you maintain you jewellery regularly using Connoisseurs Jewellery wipes. They retail for around $24.98 and are available for purchase in many good jewellery stores. We don’t sell them online as a single item because by the time the postage is taken into account, it is too expensive for you. We have however, recently started giving away a pack with every online purchase. Each pack contains 25 wipes, enough to polish a single piece every month for two years. Try them; you will be amazed at how good they are at removing tarnish.
